Equestrian Pilates

As a rider it is imperative to stay balanced and in contact with your horse, maintaining good spine and joint alignment. Pilates will help you to learn the meaning of balance, and how to incorporate this into your riding experience, to the benefit of your horse and your performance.

The main aim of this specific course is to improve posture and alignment. By focusing on accuracy of movement, and working specific muscle groups in this way there is a resultant strengthening of the core muscles.

This approach is beneficial for all abilities and disciplines, from competitive dressage, eventing, show jumping or driving level and all other levels and activities in between.

Classes will involve stability ball training to develop strength, flexibility, and balance.

Nicky is available to provide introductory talks on an individual basis, and set up practical equestrian Pilates workshops for you and your riding club.
